July 27, 2006 — Top executives from some of the world’s
leading LTL and parcel delivery trucking companies are expected
to attend Carrier Logistics Inc.’s Annual Leadership Summit
in Tarrytown, N.Y., Sept. 27 through 29.
The theme of this year’s event is Innovation Drives Change.
“We used to talk about quality,” said Ken Weinberg,
CLI vice president. “After that came knowledge management,
then employee engagement. Now, trucking industry leaders are pinpointing
creativity and innovation as the keys to achieving organizational
goals. The conference will help them do this.”
Stephen Shapiro, keynote speaker, will discuss how trucking companies
can improve through innovation and breakthrough thinking. He will
help attendees visualize their companies’ strengths against
competitors to help provide them the insight to capitalize on business
opportunities.
Shapiro will draw on his career experiences as advisor to UPS,
General Electric, and Lockheed Martin. He is author of “24/7
Innovation: A Blueprint for Surviving and Thriving in the Age of
Change,” and founder of the 24/7 Innovation Group.
Joining keynoter Shapiro is featured speaker Jack Pickard, president
of FedEx Custom Critical, who will use his experience at the company
as a case history and success story on the power of innovation.
The conference will be held at the Tarrytown House Estate, a state-of-the-art
conference center in the heart of the historic Hudson Valley.
The event is open to top LTL and parcel delivery trucking executives
by invitation only. Those interested in attending may request an
invitation by contacting CLI at (914) 332-0300 or sales@carrierlogistics.com.
