August 10, 2005 — Top executives of some of the world’s
leading trucking companies will learn how to grow their businesses
at the Carrier Logistics Inc. (CLI) Annual Leadership Summit.
The conference, produced and underwritten by CLI, will be held
Sept. 28 through 30 in New York. It will examine newly-emerging
marketing strategies to help truckers achieve business growth goals.
The summit conference will be held at the Tarrytown House Estate,
a state-of-the-art conference center in the heart of the historic
Hudson Valley in Tarrytown, N.Y.
Paul DiModica, a sales and marketing expert who has developed business
strategies for Microsoft, IBM, Progress Software, and others and
is head of the consulting firm DigitalHatch, will guide attendees
to business-growth strategies in keynote and in-depth sessions.
He is the author of training courses, newsletters and web sites
seen around the world.
DiModica will discuss best practices in achieving business survival
through integration of sales and marketing into a unified outreach
effort to get new business from existing and prospective customers.
Attendees will take away an inspiring action plan for future growth.
The “summit,” an event for executive-level leaders
in the LTL and parcel shipping segments of the transportation industry,
will strongly emphasize sales, marketing and customer service. The
conference, incorporating interactive workshops and lively roundtable
discussions on major industry topics, promises three days of “learning,
idea exchanges and networking,” according to Ken Weinberg,
vice president of CLI.
Measuring and managing customer value to increase market share
and improve profits will be the subject for summit speaker Steve
Raschilla, vice president of Mastiogale Consulting. He will show
attendees how to manage customer value by coordinating products,
prices, service, customer relationships, marketing communications
and quality assurance in a strategically coherent and cost-effective
way.
The program includes an address by a leading securities analyst
discussing the industry’s economic growth projections, plus
at least three roundtable discussions on industry topics. Summit
sessions will also include such topics as selling services while
managing competition, recruiting and managing salespeople and gathering
information on customer value.
Carrier Logistics Inc., a transportation systems consultant and
technology developer, has provided software solutions to truckers
for more than 30 years, including the FACTS total freight management
system.
